National Television of Cambodia (TVK) was established in 1966 and it has been the only state television in Cambodia since the country gained independence on 9 November 1953.

     After the Paris Peace Agreement in October 1993, TVK played an active role in serving the people’s interest in implementing a free, democratic of multiple parties and the rehabilitation and development of the country after decades of war and arms conflict between the 1970s and 1990s.
